More ants
Ants are ridiculously strong. They have the ability to carry
between 10 and 50 times their own body weight! The Asian weaver ant, for
example, can lift 100 times its own mass. Ants can lift so much weight because
of their strong muscles, multiple layers in their exoskeleton, and the shape of
their body. Their small size also increases relative strength as they can hold
more per pound than other larger insects.
Crazy
Crazy (Yes name itself is crazy) ants have a method to their
madness. Working in unison, they cleverly use navigators and carriers to
transport food morsels that a single ant couldn’t
Named for their pale exoskeletons and minute size ghost ants
thrive in the tropical climates of Florida and Hawaii. Nocturnal
foragers of fungus, they’re also partial to insect honeydew. They have an
uneven, rounded thorax and no stingers, so they don’t bite, but they’ve been
known to nest inside homes.
Ants are the most civilized and
socialized creatures (Not after humans) they have different roles for each
individual in an individual colony itself. Like queen (Mother of whole colony),
worker ants, army ants, garbage cleaners and excavators. Ants leave us in the dust
when it comes to co-ordination and maintaining a stable social environment
consisting of much more varied working fields with no supervision but just a
queen. First ants on earth date back to 120 MYA.
Armaniinae an extint and early relative of modern age ants. Ants also lived along with dinosaurs !
Saharan silver ant is the fastest of all the 15,000 species discovered till now running about a staggering speed of 3.1 kmph which is equivalent about a human of 6 feet running at 720 kmph (200m/s).
Dracula ant can snap it's mandibles/jaws/pinchers at a speed of 201 mph i.e. to be relative, is 5000nth of or 5000x times faster than a blink of eye.
