Symbiosis refers to a close and prolonged association between two (Generally two) organisms that are different species. Mutualism is interaction between different species that results in the benefit of the both. Symbiosis isn't always mutualism but it's always true vice versa.

In simple words it's you and your friend(s) exchanging of what each wants from another.
For living organisms Food, shelter from predators and weather are the only two primary conditions for living. Mutualism is unlike mutual fund, no risks.
