More Beetles

When you are bewildered by the web of stars sieved in the cloth of space looking perfectly amazing. It makes you feel small , remembers that you are just a petty of it. The night would be spent gazing the stars itself. Unless it's a grassland and far away from cities you wouldn't be able to see those stars, modern days have polluted everything, Due to light pollution you cant even properly make out these stars. Nonetheless if you had looked you can see another sky this time it's not stars it's Fireflies and it's not space it's the grass , ( Grassland ) their habitat.


Fireflies

Fire flies are bio-luminescent and belong to a family of beetles. These insects achieved bio-luminescence by bio-chemical reaction in the presence of an enzyme called Luciferase.  When oxygen combines with calcium, adenosine triphosphate (ATP) and the chemical luciferin in the presence of luciferase, a bioluminescent enzyme, light is produced. But what exactly is Bio-luminescence ?  


Rhinoceros Beetles

These beetles can be identified easily from others. They have horns on their heads. These beetles are also smuggled and played with in beetle fights along with large sum of betting, which is banned in most countries nowadays. They are massive. they can grow up to 15cm (5.9 inches). They have large horns and more thick exoskeleton.

Bombardier beetles

Bombardier beetles are ground beetles in the tribes Brachinini, Paussini, Ozaenini, or Metriini—more than 500 species altogether. They are mostly known for their defense mechanism, they eject a hot ( around 100°C ) venomous acid from the tip of their lower abdomen on their predators.
