Honey Bees are insects of the Hymnopteran order. Meaning that thy are winged insects. Honey bees Evolved from Wasps around 400 million years ago !!!
They are matriarchalists, meaning that their leader or ruler is a queen.
There are about 20,000 species of them and they are found on every continent except Antarctica. They are to some level responsible for the world's 1/3rd of food crops' pollination, Mangoes, cranberries, apple, peaches, Coffee Beans, brinjals, pears, peppers, grapes, capsicum, strawberries, avocadoes and cucumbers are plants just to name a few that depend almost completely on honey bees.
They have extremely Coordinative and complex social structures. Honey bees as their name suggests make honey, out of pollen, saliva and some regurgitation. This regurgitation process is helpful in partial break down of proteins. They fly from flower to Flower in the pursuit of pollen grains and nectar.
